The way we build
A small studio, with a long view.
The studio
Bao Labs is an independent software studio, registered in Wyoming. We focus on a small number of our own apps and look after them for the long term. The people who use those products shape what we make next.
How we work
Slowly, and on purpose. We keep the essential experience close to the device and make optional online features clear. The goal is software you can live in for a decade without it turning on you.
Why "Bao"
Bao is the panda who fronts our products — warm, a little playful, always on your side. The studio behind him is quiet and exacting. The tension is deliberate: Bao does the talking so the software can stay calm.
